Customer Testimonial - Tony & Michelle G., Lee County, Florida
Ben and Andrea, Great job on our outdoor space..My wife and I appreciated the communication and diligence in making sure the job was done timely and to our satisfaction.
They say that you should hang out with those who deliver the most peace, whether it be your significant other, pet, swimming pool or outdoor kitchen; that life is too short to not enjoy the simplicities that make you happy. When you rise from your slumber and take your first breath of the outside world, inhale the clarity that leads you from one goal to the next. Ponder your forever and enjoy the view as you surround yourself with passions that reinforce your trajectory. Discover what makes you different and follow that path until the satisfying, arduous end. Destiny will deliver because the peace you seek, it calms, readies and motivates. Now attack with precision.
An Elegant Outdoor Kitchen and Paradise[/caption]In Corkscrew Shores of Southwest, Florida, we visit someone else’s. This 13’3″ Outdoor Kitchen provides copious amounts of counter space, allowing these residents effortless cookouts to be enjoyed year round! Featuring an undermount sink with a high-arc faucet, a vertical door to access the plumbing, a Blaze 42″ vent hood with a custom stainless vent cover, the 32″ 4-Burner Blaze LTE Series grill (which has those awesome red-lit knobs), an infrared searing burner, the 32″ double drawer/door combo under the grill, a rollout-narrow trash bin that holds a 42 qt bin, and the 4.5 cubic foot Blaze stainless front outdoor refrigerator with the corresponding trim kit.The facade is Silver Travertine that was paired with a Level 3 Steel Gray Granite. The backsplash and side splash are 12″ in height, rising to 36″ for a width of 42″ centered under the hood and behind the grill. Going with the larger granite backsplash gives this outdoor kitchen a prominent look while helping to keep maintenance to a minimum.
An outdoor kitchen is sometimes meant to serve a greater purpose than becoming a place to do. It’s our place to be. Sometimes it’s a release, our reprieve from everyday life and the stresses endured as we provide for our family or selves. It’s our ocean where the tides clear our minds of any debris that can’t seem to disintegrate from the beach. It can be our second home, our thinking space where we time travel into grace and wisdom. That umbrella that overhangs us means more to us than the shade it creates, it’s an accessory where we can teleport ourselves in those slow moments, those thoughtful moments, those reflective moments. Idle and happy we are as we sit beneath that little red star. Just watching. Being.
Custom Outdoor Kitchen Beneath a Red Star
Located just outside the covered lanai is where we lay our keep. Our customer wanted to incorporate his existing grill and cart in the center of this gorgeous summer kitchen. He also wanted a sink and icemaker which naturally meant running plumbing to the new base. After creating our blueprint for operation, we began constructing a small kitchen base to the left of the grill with a built-in single-access door for storage. The remainder of the L-shaped kitchen was to the right. Keeping variety in mind, this outdoor kitchen was designed with an 18″ bartop in the event company joined beneath that red star. We cut a custom hole in the granite and, on the interior, braced the umbrella to provide it with the stability necessary for all weather conditions. Further customizations consisted of making both the countertop and bartop curved on the opposite side of the sink. We were more than happy to accommodate his request.
In the courtyard of a multi-family complex, somewhere in the heart of Southwest Florida, lied a dated, underused outdoor kitchen in need of reconstructive surgery. Surrounded by the beauty of nature and constructs of humankind, it shouldn’t have been the bane of its proximity. But often obsolescence has a funny way of showing its face; it isn’t something one can recognize in the moment, but rather it creeps into your consciousness like a leaf spiraling and dancing through the autumn air until it lands at your feet. When you pick it up, you examine it, tear into it, and watch as a newer, more healthy batch takes its place.
Let’s work!
We spent about 3 hours in the conceptual stages, planning the most economical way the grill replacement could ensue. The issue was conforming our new barbecue to fit the old parameters of the island. We toyed with a few different ideas but ultimately decided it made the most sense to build a new grill base out of aluminum for the jacket to hang from; however, the grill jacket was not wide enough to completely fill the opening left by the existing cutout. To overcome this dilemma, we had additional stainless steel components fabricated to perfectly fill in the remainder of the opening.
“Just wanted to let you know the guys did a great job installing the grills. We appreciate it. They look great. Good job, kudos.”
“We love our new outdoor kitchen built by Elegant Outdoor Kitchens! Andrea, Ben and their team were wonderful to work with on the project and completed it ahead of schedule. We highly recommend Elegant Outdoor Kitchens of Fort Myers, FL.”
An obstacle we’d come across early on, though, was the decision of where to relocate the spigot. If collectively we hadn’t elected to mount it on the exterior wall of the kitchen, it would’ve been blocked in by the base, essentially making it inaccessible. The customer was very pleased with its newfound position as are we! They also opted to continue the Golden White stacked stone up to the opening for a more enriched, traditional-looking backsplash. It certainly is seamless and, dare we say, Elegant.
With plenty of counterspace and functionality, from the refrigerator to the storage bins, this outdoor kitchen serves a distinct purpose and will indisputedly create memories to last a life time.

“Elegant Outdoor Kitchens is one of the easiest, friendliest, and most professional companies I have ever worked with. When interviewing other companies, some companies would not even come out to look at the lanai area. I knew this company would be great from the start when Andrea came out to look at our lanai a couple times and blue-taped the area before we even signed a contract. From helping select granite to sending reminders of appointment times, this company goes above and beyond. The quality of work is amazing, too. Watching Ben and his team, you can tell they take pride in their work and are very meticulous to make sure the job is done correctly.
I look forward to hosting many pool parties with our stunning outdoor kitchen!”
This summer kitchen was built in a GL Home in Marina Bay. The lanai space was a little unique in that it had a wall running at a 45° angle. We had to be cognizant not to allow the outdoor kitchen to encroach on the view of the window to the left or the walkway from the sliders on the right. Luckily with our 3D design process, the space was drawn to scale and we were easily and accurately able to plan out our execution.
In the Pelican Preserve, constructed in an Islamorada built by WCI Communities, we meet a beautifully crafted summer kitchen.
With its Mint Sandstone appearance and an ever slight splash of green, this 8’7” Elegant Outdoor Kitchen meets all your barbecuing and food preparation needs. From its contemporary finish overlaid with care on each stone to the level 3 Millennium Granite countertop, backsplash and side splash specially designed to adhere to the theme of the home’s interior, you’ll you get the seamless feeling that you deserve when walking from one part of your home to the next.
The backsplash stands a foot tall on the edges and reaches a pinnacle height of 32” with the maximum width of the half circle being 42”. Within the stones and granite lie the new LTE Series Blaze 4.1 CU Ft outdoor rated refrigerator with illuminated knobs. Personalized by our customer, in addition to the stone and granite, was an infrared searing burner and rotisserie kit on the grill. Beneath it, we installed a 32” DDC (drawer/double door combo), which allows for storage of the LP tank while simultaneously allowing for storage. The undermounted sink, with a high-arc faucet, further increases the functionality of this outdoor kitchen.

Another Inspirational Barbecue Island Design by EOK
This barbecue island, built in the Esplanade of Naples, Florida, was incorporated into the Mercede floorplan designed by Taylor Morrison, a homebuilder. Conceived in the summer of 2017, Elegant Outdoor Kitchens spent nine months perfecting its aesthetics and practicality before ultimately implementing it into this newly constructed home; we are very proud of the engineering that went into this one-of-a-kind station and know our customers will be as well.
The layout is simplified and user-friendly. Its contents include a Blaze 41. CU Ft refrigerator and the Blaze 32″ 4-Burner Traditional Series grill with the 32″ drawer/door combination. Its ventilation is supported by a 36″ Zephyr hood. Complete with an undermounted sink, a high-arc faucet and 18″ vertical doors this particular kitchen glows with the inspiration you deserve as you host a gathering with family and friends.
The décor, customized by our clients, consists of a Golden White stacked stone which protrudes asymmetrically from its adjacent and is effortlessly paired with a Santa Cecilia Napoli level 1 granite countertop. The black splash, of which bears a pleasant distinction from its neighboring parts, is a 36″ x 36″ square, tying the grill and the hood into companionship. We welcomed further involvement from our customers when they desired scones to be integrated into the project. Ben, a representative of Elegant Outdoor Kitchens, worried that simply mounting the lights and cutting the stone flush around the scone would present an unfinished look. He suggested using the same travertine tile that was used on the lanai as a backing for the scones to be mounted. The final product speaks to the vision and execution that our company strives to employ with each and every one of our customers. We leave no scone left unturned!

We specialize in barbeque islands, outdoor kitchens and, most importantly, customer service that will leave you feeling listened to, cared for and satisfied.
This barbecue island was a remodel in the Verandah. While the client’s old summer kitchen was probably before it’s time, it’s time had come to pass and the existing space was in need of a little sprucing up. Being the custom outdoor kitchen contractor that we are, we were more than up to the task of repurposing this outdoor living area. Though the windows and the arched area add a unique flair, you need an expert that can handle the challenge of rocking and tiling those areas. At Elegant Outdoor Kitchens, we can effectively navigate these types of structural challenges. There’s generally no problem too big or too small for the Elegant Outdoor Kitchens team!
The finishing materials we used for this project are a perfect complement to one another and include the Golden White stacked stone façade and backsplash, melded with the Classic Travertine Premium Tile, installed on a diagonal in the recessed area, along with the Verona level 1 granite. The homeowner appreciated the overall aesthetic design and appeal of the complete outdoor kitchen area. The finished design ended up looking harmonious and inviting!
Plenty of Space for Barbecue Island Components
This 12′ 1″ custom outdoor kitchen by Elegant Outdoor Kitchens provided a plethora of space to work with, which is often extremely useful when it comes to the process of a homeowner selecting components that extend the functionality of their outdoor kitchen. One of the most significant issues we come across when building our custom barbecue islands is limited structural space. You can only install so many components in your island cabinetry. Below you’ll find a list of the following components that we integrated into this particular barbecue island build.
Under mount sink with high-arc faucet (includes hook-up by licensed plumber to existing hot/cold & drain lines)
Single vertical door (under sink)
Blaze triple access drawer
Blaze 42″ Vent Hood
Blaze 32” 4-burner LTE series (natural gas, with certified gas hook-up) – the LTE series features the lighted knobs for that extra “wow” factor!
Blaze 32″ Double Doors (underneath the grill)
Blaze narrow trash storage drawer
Blaze 5.2 CU FT outdoor refrigerator
Blaze 5.2 Outdoor Refrigerator Trim Kit
