Custom Residential BBQ Island Design – Cypress Walk Community
This custom BBQ Island was built for a customer who was relocating from the north to Cypress Walk by Neal Communities in Fort Myers. The selections were all made through pictures. Both the Silver Travertine stacked stone and New Caledonia granite have a mix of browns and grays and work well together. The 4 backsplash raises to 10 in height for a width of 40 centered behind the grill. The components in this summer kitchen are the Blaze 32 natural gas grill with double door access, the Blaze 5.2 CU FT outdoor fridge and single access door under the sink.

A Beautifully Simplistic BBQ Island Design at Plantation
This custom BBQ Island and outdoor grilling area was constructed in the Somerset side of Plantation, a Pulte Homes housing development located in Fort Myers, Florida. The Plantation is a premier golf community, with 18-holes of Hurzdan-Fry championship golf, resort-style amenities, and an Activities Director who coordinates special events, club gatherings, and group outings to keep you entertained all year long. A truly magnificent residence for a custom outdoor kitchen & outdoor living area.
Golden White – Stacked Stone Sample
This BBQ Island was constructed with simplicity in mind. We used the popular Golden White stacked stone for the siding facade, combined with Giallo Ornamental Granite Counter-top. The two premium finishing materials melded perfectly into a gorgeous BBQ Island design. Blending perfectly with the existing environment.
The customer opted to use a professional grill head and few outdoor kitchen components they already owned. Another benefit of using Elegant Outdoor Kitchens, we custom build BBQ Islands to specification. Designing the entire outdoor kitchen around products they already owned. What we ended up installing was a 48” Trade-Wind Hood, a Bull single access drawer and Bull Premium outdoor rated Refrigerator. We were able to install a concealed louvered single access door in the back of the BBQ Island cabinet. This was due to the space restrictions we encountered. All in all, another beautiful custom BBQ Island creation from the professionals at Elegant Outdoor Kitchens of Fort Myers, Florida.

Whether it’s from concept all the way to completion, or just finishing a pre-existing framed-out project. The professionals here at Elegant Outdoor Kitchens delivered yet another beautiful custom barbecue island. This particular build has it all when it comes to functionality. We were able to integrate a Bull Outdoor 30” Angus Built In LP (Liquid Propane) Gas Grill along with a 32” Double Access Door for quick and reliable access to the hidden away propane tank inside the barbecue island cabinetry. We also included another single access door under the built-in sink, Outdoor Rated Premium Refrigeration unit, trash pullout door, bottle opener with a lid catch, and a single drop-in side burner. Truly a complete outdoor kitchen. This type of barbecue island and outdoor living area addition is sure to alleviate any back and forth trips to your indoor kitchen. When you’re cooking outside, you’re able to stay outside with this outdoor kitchen.
The existing WCI construction layout enabled us to quickly get to the best part of the project, and that’s installing the components and applying the beautiful finishing materials. The barbecue island was finished with a Light Travertine Stone, which worked well with the existing Terracotta paint shown in the gallery. They opted for a Level 2 Delirium Granite for the counter-top finish.

This particular outdoor kitchen build was unique. Since most of the surrounding rear wall and another additional wall was covered with the same beautiful stacked stone facade as the BBQ Island cabinetry, and it turned out amazing. We’re sure you can appreciate the level of customization that went into this outdoor kitchen. The plywood in the photos was eventually replaced with a brand-new window once the project was completed. This was truly a flawless integration of the kitchen. Anyone seeing it for the first time would think it was built right into the home when it was first constructed. The stacked stone was special order and gorgeous. A beautiful glass linear tile backsplash was used to accentuate the surrounding stacked stone. The backsplash was framed with bullnose tile. The backsplash accent gave it a very tasteful contrast. A level 4 granite was selected by the customer for use as the islands counter-top. The counter-top granite had striped patterning and had a remarkable color that matched the stacked stone flawlessly.

The Bull components installed were: the 30” Angus 4-Burner Built-In Grill, a propane pullout/access door under the grill, premium outdoor rated refrigerator. An ice maker that was already owned by the customer was also incorporated into the summer outdoor kitchen.

The Waters Edge Custom Outdoor Kitchen Project – Inside Bridgetown Community By Pulte Homes
This elegant outdoor kitchen creation was constructed for a client that resides in the Bridgetown Community, a community developed by Pulte Homes. The Bridgetown community is in Fort Myers, Florida and is a perfect place to call home. We frequently work with communities just like Bridgetown to create outdoor kitchen & living environment additions.
This outdoor kitchen construction project was designed with a beautiful Silver Travertine stacked stone façade and an upgraded greyish hue granite counter-top. The counter-top extends into a gorgeous 4” backsplash that rises an additional 32” higher behind the grill, below the hood vent. This combination of materials is an example of pure harmony in both texture and tone.
Bull 30″ Angus 4-Burner Grill Head
We opted for a Bull Angus 30” 4-Burner Built-In Grill system. This grill packs a punch, with a combination of 75,000 BTUs between its primary grilling surface and its infrared rotisserie burner. The Angus 30” has a total of 810 Sq. Inches of total cooking surface. All the other stainless-steel accessories are manufactured by Bull as well. Stainless-steel single and double access doors were included to enable storage within the BBQ Island cabinet. An outdoor rated refrigeration unit was installed for quick and easy cold storage. A hood and vent system equipped with a custom stainless vent cover was included to redirect any smoke from the outdoor premises. All in all, a wonderful outdoor kitchen & living environment.

With this summer kitchen we return to Materita in Pelican Preserve in Fort Myers. This was built in a Nautilus floorplan by WCI and had the summer kitchen rough-in. The Artic White stacked stone shimmers and looks like sparkling snow when the sun hits it. This was paired with a White Ornamental granite countertop & backsplash. The customer originally had a straight 4 backsplash, but later decided to add the arched backsplash behind the grill for easier maintenance and cleaning. This kitchen has a simplistic yet elegant look. The components included are the Bull Angus grill, the Premium outdoor refrigerator, a drop-in single side burner, bottle opener with lid catch, a single access door under the sink and double door under the grill.

While this Barbecue Island is considered “straight” regarding the build, or outdoor kitchen cabinet configuration. It’s a bit more intricate in nature. It’s built to fit into the existing shape of the Victorian Style structure. As the photos show. The most interesting aspect of this custom outdoor kitchen is that it’s built to fit into 3 sides of an octagon. The Victorian Style Porch being built into the shape of an octagon. It doesn’t get more custom than this particular build. The following photos showcase the range of customization that Elegant Outdoor Kitchens is prepared to do.With this custom outdoor kitchen build we used a Light Travertine Stacked Stone with a unique Granite counter-top that boasts beautiful pink and green hues. A truly amazing material combination that compliments the existing structure magnificently. The grilling area is very simple and straight forward, there wasn’t a whole lot of room for any additional components. A Bull Angus 30” 4-Burner Professional Grill was built-in and fit quite perfectly. The 30” grill head produces 75,000 BTU’s, which happens to be a lot for its size. Perfect for this compact area. We installed a 32” Stainless Steel Double Access Door to enable access to the grill and its primary components.

The “Dueling Grills” custom outdoor kitchen build was contracted by an apartment complex near FGCU in Estero. The name says it all, it’s a double grill installation in a single BBQ island cabinet, making its configuration super accessible and optimal for multiple users. While it’s in a residential apartment complex, it’s considered a commercial build. We used the popular California Gold Stacked Stone as the siding facade and used Uba Tuba Granite as the counter-top material. This combination of materials complimented the overall aesthetics of the custom outdoor kitchen build. The “Dueling Grills” build is ADA compliant which makes it accessible to handicapped and special needs individuals.
While it may not be the fanciest configuration in Estero, it’s designed to be straightforward and simple to use. In these commercial style apartment builds, the clientele usually has one goal in mind, and that’s grilling. The BBQ Island is equipped with two Blaze 25” 3-Burner Grills, which output a whopping 42,000 BTU’s per grill. It’s the perfect commercial grill setup. Designed for long-term, frequent-use, and legendary grilling performance. The most innovative aspect of the project is the built-in, wall-mounted timer that control propane access for the grills. Below each of the Blaze Grills is a 25” double access door that allows easy access to the grills and their functional components.

Using modern design techniques and premium construction & finishing materials. We completed the entire Summer Outdoor Kitchen build in minimal time. Elegant Outdoor Kitchens worked closely with the client to manufacture an outdoor living area that catered to all their cooking, cleaning, and storage needs. We used a beautiful stacked stone finish that’s available through special order. Pairing it with a Dallas White Granite for the counter-top area.
They opted for a Bull 32” 4-Burner Angus Grill installation. We maximized their storage space by installing a combination single door / double drawer storage area below the grill. Not only does it act as an efficient storage station, but it also allows the client to access the grill for maintenance purposes. The built-in single side burner will allow them to quickly heat up or cook side dishes while grilling. The convenience of a sink & faucet system will make washing up after handling meat a breeze. Access to the sink components can are made through the single louvered access door. By installing a premium outdoor rated refrigerator, they’ll only have to walk a few feet to access their cold storage.
