This summer kitchen project was designed and constructed in a former WCI Villa model home, it was our first custom barbecue island built in Arborwood Preserve by WCI.This outdoor kitchen is sure to be invaluable on those gorgeous, sunny days spent lounging poolside. The perfect outdoor living area kitchen built for entertaining both family and friends with delicious barbecue cuisine. This BBQ island design incorporates all the traditional features of an outdoor kitchen. From the Blaze 32″ 4 Burner Barbecue Grill, Under-mount Sink with High-Arc Faucet, to the Outdoor Refrigerator. It has all the primary components that make having an outdoor kitchen worthwhile when it comes to convenience. This custom outdoor kitchen build will surely save our client valuable time when they find themselves wanting to grill up a fantastic meal outdoors.

This 9’3″ linear outdoor kitchen is beautiful, finished with a Golden White Stacked Stone. The countertop, backsplash, and flanking backsplashes are a level 1 St. Cecilia Light granite. Melding perfectly with the Golden White Stacked Stone siding, a custom outdoor kitchen build that’s fit for the cover of Hearth & Home magazine! By the way, Hearth & Home we are available for a cover feature.

Arborwood Preserve is a local Southwest Florida neighborhood that was initially developed by WCI Communities, which was later purchased by Lennar. The amenity center at Arborwood was modeled after the iconic Hotel del Coronado. The lifestyle was supposed to mimic that of WCI’s 2,500 home community Pelican Preserve, without the age restriction of being 55 & better.

The location is unique, very convenient, yet not a lot of road noise. It is just to the east of Treeline, and just north of Daniels Pky and just south of Colonial Blvd. Nestled in between four planned communities (Gateway Golf & CC, Somerset, Bridgetown and Pelican Preserve); these communities serve as buffers to help keep the “sound of convenience” at bay.

Arborwood will have roughly 850 doors at completion. It is a mix of multi-family and single family product. While the amenity center is open, the community still looks pretty new; however, time flies and it has come a very long way in the two short years since WCI opened the community for sales.

About This Beautiful Outdoor Kitchen & Outdoor Living Area Project

This L-Shape outdoor kitchen is 10′ 7″ along the grill side and 9′ 1″ along the beverage side. It was a massive outdoor kitchen construction project. The finishing materials consisted of a gorgeous Golden White stacked stone, which we used for the backsplash along the entire wall & back of the bar side. We utilized Level One Baracco White granite for the countertop areas, implementing a 2-tier bar and 10″ backsplash on the right side of the grill. The 2-tier bar on the rear side has a 3″ overhang at the corners and bulges an additional 2″ for a total of 5″ of overhang at center.

The High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE or marine grade) cabinetry are designed to be durable and stand up to the harshest of weather conditions, their definitely a new product we use that’s built to last! One of the best features about them, they are manufactured by our friends at American Outdoor Cabinets, just to the north of us in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. We’ve included a link below for you to explore their particular brand of outdoor cabinetry. This style of outdoor kitchen cabinetry complimented the project in both door/drawer features as well as aesthetics. This barbecue island is comprised of the two grill cabinets, side burner cabinet, corner sink cabinet, door and drawer cabinet, all deco panels, fillers, and toe kicks required. The client selected the Coastal style door and Sea Form color.

Another Beautiful Outdoor Kitchen Build Inside Neal Communities

We return to Cypress Walk by Neal Communities for this outdoor kitchen project. This project work-flow is typical, planning and scheduling the job prior to the customer closing on their home. Our schedule can be planned out weeks or sometimes even months in advance. Waiting to start the outdoor kitchen construction process, until after the home has been completed and closed on, is not ideal for customer’s that are looking to take advantage of our great weather and the SWFL lifestyle. By reserving a time slot for customer’s, we can always adjust the schedule accordingly should there be any delays that the customer may experience with the builder or the home buying process.

This client selected the popular Silver Travertine stacked stone for the the barbecue islands veneer finish. As you can see in the photos, this outdoor kitchen has two corners. We utilize corner pieces in all instances when the stone must wrap around the base. The Travertine corner pieces do cost a little more, but in our experience, we find that this finish looks far superior when compared to the mitered finish. The corner pieces allow for a seamless corner, rather than seeing that harsh line right down the edge. It gives the outdoor kitchen a more refined and professionally finished look, something we strive to achieve in every custom barbecue island we build.

We used the popular Silver Travertine stacked stone for the veneer siding, pairing it with a level 1 Ornamental granite used for the countertop. In the homes built by Neal Communities, here in the Florida region, the outdoor kitchen rough-in option features a wall that comes up about 8″-9″ above counter height. Most Neal customers are opting to have the backsplash come up to the lower part of the opening. The Neal rough-in option is quite airy and allows for excellent ventilation, without the need for a hood. These premeditated construction options are ideal, especially when it comes to getting what you want in a custom outdoor kitchen build. We applaud the Neal Community builders for these customized options.

Another nice feature about Neal homes is that they include the Natural Gas plumbing designed to flow to the outdoor kitchen area, saving the homeowner exponentially when it comes to building a barbecue island. This NG plumbing option has become a signature trait of Neal Communities. It’s incredibly convenient for customer’s that find changing propane tanks to be “a real pain in the gas.”

The Blaze components included in this beautiful custom outdoor kitchen by Elegant Outdoor Kitchens are the 32 inch, 4-burner Traditional Series grill with the 32″ double drawer/access door combination located underneath the grill. The 4.1 CU FT outdoor rated refrigerator with the included trim kit. There is also an 18″ single vertical door located underneath the Undermount Sink.

This outdoor kitchen customer of ours was a referral from one of our past clients! We believe that word-of-mouth referrals speak volumes, especially when it comes to the high quality of barbecue island product that we offer here at Elegant Outdoor Kitchens. Our attention to aesthetic detail, along with the overall structural integrity of our barbecue island products is what separates us from the competition.

This custom outdoor kitchen build had a pretty unique design, with the bay windows protruding out from behind the island, we had to pay extra attention to layout design and configuration. It also features a ton of counter space real estate, which will come in handy for meal prep, the occasional party or large family gathering. We installed a beautiful overhung White Ornamental granite countertop, adding an arc to the outer edge, gives it a softer more stylish appeal.

This outdoor kitchen is full of components, convenience, and functionality. Starting with the Blaze drop-in single side burner, perfect for pre-heating and traditional stove-top style cooking. The Blaze Professional Series 34″ 3-burner barbecue grill can handle the long-term wear and tear of long grilling sessions and frequent use. We also installed the Blaze 32” double access doors directly below the grill, giving our client convenient access to the undercarriage of the grill. Accessibility to the grill and its fuel source is vital for maintaining a professional barbecue grill. We also made sure to include a trash pullout, an additional double door for maximum storage capacity, a 4.1 CU FT outdoor rated refrigerator, and a crowd favorite, the bottle opener with a catch by Bull.

We utilized Silver Travertine stacked stone as the veneer siding finish, pairing it up with level 1 White Ornamental granite for use as a countertop, which we already mentioned above.

Though the wall space in the White Sand is about 10′ long, the homeowner decided to go with an outdoor kitchen that was designed just a little bit smaller at 5′ 9″.

This custom outdoor kitchen may be small, but it still packs a punch, providing this homeowner with everything they were looking for in an outdoor kitchen area. The Blaze 32″ LTE series barbecue grill provides the aesthetic quality of the Professional Series, equipped with the much loved lighted knobs and interior lights that our customers appreciate. The client also added the optional rotisserie kit to the Blaze LTE grill. Under the grill, we installed the Blaze 32” double drawer/access door combo. We finished up the install with a 5.2 CU FT outdoor rated refrigerator.

A New Project in Coastal Key – Elegant Outdoor Kitchens

This outdoor kitchen was constructed in Coastal Key by Neal Communities. This custom outdoor kitchen was planned in conjunction with a pool addition. We installed a more traditional color combo of the Golden White stacked stone and the Blue Sapphire granite. This level 1 granite looks a lot more expensive than it is and we have certainly seen a lot of it lately. It’s definitely in the category of the “best bang for the buck” products. In addition to the gorgeous Blue Saphire granite 4” backsplash, the client selected the semi-circle accent piece, which we centered on the grill. The semi-circle has a radius of 21”. It successfully ties this beautiful design together in an extraordinary way.

The drop-in single side burner is perfect for sautéing, heating sides, and allows you to cook the entire meal outside. No back and forth trips between kitchens for this client. In keeping with the theme of convenience, we installed a double drawer under the burner for all of those utensils and grilling necessities. The Blaze 3-burner 25” professional grill allows for plenty of cooking space while preserving some of the counter space. Under the grill is a 25” double access door. And last, but not least, there is a 4.1 CU FT outdoor rated refrigerator for keeping those beverages cold and close at hand on all those sunny pool days!

The Overhang – Custom Outdoor Kitchen Creation

This project was a blast to build; it’s simply a neat custom outdoor kitchen that we designed and built in the upscale community of Grandezza in Estero, Florida. It is an L-shape, but the bar is open below rather than being framed in structurally. Although they didn’t have a massive amount of space, just about six feet between the home and the existing pillar, we were able to fill it with an average amount of components. The design they selected provided them with plenty of counter space as well.

The Golden White stacked stone was a perfect fit when combined with the traditional style stone that was already around their pool. And the hints of white in the stone matched nicely with their existing wall color. This paired nicely with the creamy St. Cecilia Light granite. A real match made in heaven!

Housed in this summer outdoor kitchen, you will find the 4.1 CU FT outdoor rated refrigerator, the Blaze 25” Traditional Series grill with the 25” double access door for the propane tank storage. The customers also asked us to install an 18” single vertical access door to the far right of the summer outdoor kitchen, which enables extra storage.

The counter height bar is a super nice touch and is a great space that allows for guests to relax and socialize while the chef grills the meal. All in all, another functionally beautiful custom outdoor kitchen by Elegant Outdoor Kitchens.

Windmill Village Southwest Florida Custom Commercial Grill Build

When you love your community, you build them a custom commercial outdoor kitchen with Elegant Outdoor Kitchens of SWFL! This gorgeous outdoor kitchen, contracted by a homeowner’s association for their community center in North Fort Myers. Imitation is the best form of flattery. In this case, the HOA had seen our outdoor kitchen project known as “Dueling Grills” and had us replicate what we had done there. The only differences being is that we upgraded the 25” grills & double access doors to the 40” Blaze traditional series grills and double access doors. We equipped the grills with custom timers so that in the event someone forgets to shut off the gas; it will automatically turn off after a preselected length of time. The built-in timers are a functional design element we include in all of our commercial outdoor kitchen projects. It’s always better to be safe, then sorry. It’s a fail-safe protocol that we implement in all commercial builds.

This outdoor kitchen is 12’ long and is ADA compliant, allowing for plenty of counter space on each side of the grill. The counter space is great for prepping meals and distribution once the meat comes out. In keeping with the theme of Dueling Grills, we again see the California Gold Stacked Stone (which wraps all four sides of the outdoor kitchen!) and the Uba Tuba Granite. We have seen this combination a few times now, and it’s bold, traditional look never disappoints.
