We return to Cypress Walk by Neal Communities for this outdoor kitchen project. This project work-flow is typical, planning and scheduling the job prior to the customer closing on their home. Our schedule can be planned out weeks or sometimes even months in advance. Waiting to start the outdoor kitchen construction process, until after the home has been completed and closed on, is not ideal for customer’s that are looking to take advantage of our great weather and the SWFL lifestyle. By reserving a time slot for customer’s, we can always adjust the schedule accordingly should there be any delays that the customer may experience with the builder or the home buying process.
This client selected the popular Silver Travertine stacked stone for the the barbecue islands veneer finish. As you can see in the photos, this outdoor kitchen has two corners. We utilize corner pieces in all instances when the stone must wrap around the base. The Travertine corner pieces do cost a little more, but in our experience, we find that this finish looks far superior when compared to the mitered finish. The corner pieces allow for a seamless corner, rather than seeing that harsh line right down the edge. It gives the outdoor kitchen a more refined and professionally finished look, something we strive to achieve in every custom barbecue island we build.
We used the popular Silver Travertine stacked stone for the veneer siding, pairing it with a level 1 Ornamental granite used for the countertop. In the homes built by Neal Communities, here in the Florida region, the outdoor kitchen rough-in option features a wall that comes up about 8″-9″ above counter height. Most Neal customers are opting to have the backsplash come up to the lower part of the opening. The Neal rough-in option is quite airy and allows for excellent ventilation, without the need for a hood. These premeditated construction options are ideal, especially when it comes to getting what you want in a custom outdoor kitchen build. We applaud the Neal Community builders for these customized options.
Another nice feature about Neal homes is that they include the Natural Gas plumbing designed to flow to the outdoor kitchen area, saving the homeowner exponentially when it comes to building a barbecue island. This NG plumbing option has become a signature trait of Neal Communities. It’s incredibly convenient for customer’s that find changing propane tanks to be “a real pain in the gas.”

The 4.1 CU FT outdoor rated refrigerator with the included trim kit. There is also an 18″ single vertical door located underneath the Undermount Sink.

This outdoor kitchen customer of ours was a referral from one of our past clients! This custom outdoor kitchen build had a pretty unique design, with the bay windows protruding out from behind the island, we had to pay extra attention to layout design and configuration. It also features a ton of counter space real estate, which will come in handy for meal prep, the occasional party or large family gathering. We installed a beautiful overhung White Ornamental granite countertop, adding an arc to the outer edge, gives it a softer more stylish appeal.
This outdoor kitchen is full of components, convenience, and functionality. Starting with the Blaze drop-in single side burner, perfect for pre-heating and traditional stove-top style cooking. The Blaze Professional Series 34″ 3-burner barbecue grill can handle the long-term wear and tear of long grilling sessions and frequent use. We also installed the Blaze 32” double access doors directly below the grill, giving our client convenient access to the undercarriage of the grill. Accessibility to the grill and its fuel source is vital for maintaining a professional barbecue grill. Though the wall space in the White Sand is about 10′ long, the homeowner decided to go with an outdoor kitchen that was designed just a little bit smaller at 5′ 9″.

A New Project in Coastal Key – Elegant Outdoor Kitchens
This outdoor kitchen was constructed in Coastal Key by Neal Communities. This custom outdoor kitchen was planned in conjunction with a pool addition. We installed a more traditional color combo of the Golden White stacked stone and the Blue Sapphire granite. This level 1 granite looks a lot more expensive than it is and we have certainly seen a lot of it lately. It’s definitely in the category of the “best bang for the buck” products. In addition to the gorgeous Blue Saphire granite 4” backsplash, the client selected the semi-circle accent piece, which we centered on the grill. The semi-circle has a radius of 21”. It successfully ties this beautiful design together in an extraordinary way.
The drop-in single side burner is perfect for sautéing, heating sides, and allows you to cook the entire meal outside. No back and forth trips between kitchens for this client. In keeping with the theme of convenience, we installed a double drawer under the burner for all of those utensils and grilling necessities. The Blaze 3-burner 25” professional grill allows for plenty of cooking space while preserving some of the counter space. Under the grill is a 25” double access door. And last, but not least, there is a 4.1 CU FT outdoor rated refrigerator for keeping those beverages cold and close at hand on all those sunny pool days!

This project was a blast to build; it’s simply a neat custom outdoor kitchen that we designed and built in the upscale community of Grandezza in Estero, Florida. It is an L-shape, but the bar is open below rather than being framed in structurally. Although they didn’t have a massive amount of space, just about six feet between the home and the existing pillar, we were able to fill it with an average amount of components. The design they selected provided them with plenty of counter space as well.
The Golden White stacked stone was a perfect fit when combined with the traditional style stone that was already around their pool. And the hints of white in the stone matched nicely with their existing wall color. This paired nicely with the creamy St. Cecilia Light granite. A real match made in heaven!
Housed in this summer outdoor kitchen, you will find the 4.1 CU FT outdoor rated refrigerator, the Blaze 25” Traditional Series grill with the 25” double access door for the propane tank storage. The customers also asked us to install an 18” single vertical access door to the far right of the summer outdoor kitchen, which enables extra storage.

When you love your community, you build them a custom commercial outdoor kitchen with Elegant Outdoor Kitchens of SWFL! This gorgeous outdoor kitchen, contracted by a homeowner’s association for their community center in North Fort Myers. Imitation is the best form of flattery. In this case, the HOA had seen our outdoor kitchen project known as “Dueling Grills” and had us replicate what we had done there. The only differences being is that we upgraded the 25” grills & double access doors to the 40” Blaze traditional series grills and double access doors. We equipped the grills with custom timers so that in the event someone forgets to shut off the gas; it will automatically turn off after a preselected length of time. The built-in timers are a functional design element we include in all of our commercial outdoor kitchen projects. It’s always better to be safe, then sorry. It’s a fail-safe protocol that we implement in all commercial builds.
This outdoor kitchen is 12’ long and is ADA compliant, allowing for plenty of counter space on each side of the grill. The counter space is great for prepping meals and distribution once the meat comes out. In keeping with the theme of Dueling Grills, we again see the California Gold Stacked Stone (which wraps all four sides of the outdoor kitchen!) and the Uba Tuba Granite. We have seen this combination a few times now, and it’s bold, traditional look never disappoints.

This custom outdoor kitchen was designed and built in a home constructed by Neal Communities in Estero Place. Elegant Outdoor Kitchens started planning this custom outdoor kitchen before the customer closed on the house. By planning, designing, and scheduling the project, it allowed us to start the job the week after the homeowners closed on the home.
The colors on the inside of the home are modern, pulling in a lot of grays. In keeping with that theme, the customer selected the exquisite Silver Travertine stacked stone, pairing it with the increasingly popular Blue Sapphire granite. An amalgamation of pure and natural brilliance when it comes to stone finishes.
This outdoor kitchen at 11’9” provides plenty of room for a variety of professional outdoor kitchen components. The high-arc sink, with a single vertical access door, 4.1 cubic foot outdoor rated refrigerator and finishing trim kit, 32” 4-burner traditional series barbecue grill, with a combination double drawer access door underneath and the slide in double burner make an excellent combination for those wishing to utilize their outdoor kitchen all year long.
Through our lengthy design process, we were able to think our way through this custom outdoor kitchen project, basically building it on paper before we got started. Ensuring that we don’t have those “uh-oh” moments. That’s the Elegant Outdoor Kitchens difference. As you can see in the photos, to the left of the sink the outdoor kitchen is recessed in between the exterior wall and the sliders. This unique feature of the floorplan is something that we have not come across before. To keep the design of the home and outdoor kitchen cohesive, we built our cabinet in a little deeper than we normally would and brought it out flush with the wall, which is typical with the sliders. Doing this allowed us to cut the rock and tie it into the wall for the sliders giving it a truly elegant and finished look.

This custom barbecue island was a blast to design and was done through a very informal process! It helps that we are so familiar with the Pulte product and especially the ever-so-popular Pinnacle layout. The owner had looked on our website and was familiar with our products before he called. Through a quick conversation, we were able to understand the components that he was looking for and then he gave us free rein to go to work.
The Pinnacle has a ton of under truss lanai space, which can accommodate summer kitchens up to 13’4″ in length. This outdoor kitchen with the following components will leave you wanting for nothing.

The customer has a modern style and decided to go with a stucco finish to give the outdoor kitchen a super sleek look. While we do not do the stucco ourselves, we are happy to coordinate with the stucco contractor and plan accordingly so that the job does not become a long, drawn out process for the customer. The Absolute Black granite that was selected matches that of the customer’s interior kitchen. He told us the name of the granite and texted a photo and we were able to match it. The backsplash is 4” for the length of the outdoor kitchen and rises to 36”H for a width of 42″, centered under the hood and behind the grill.

Quail West in Naples is an established community with a mix of older & new homes. The homeowner’s of this newly completed outdoor kitchen project had recently purchased the home as a resale and were doing some renovations. When they purchased the home there was an existing outdoor kitchen which they demo’ed to make room for their Elegant Outdoor Kitchen. In the photos, you will see there were still a couple of ongoing projects at the time of the summer kitchen completion. We look forward to seeing their new exterior wall color and brick paver lanai!
In addition to the outdoor kitchen, the customer had a unique request, which was a freestanding table/bar top area. The base is 29”x21”. There is a 13” overhang off all four sides of the table, allowing for plenty of leg room. We used the same stacked stone and granite that was used on the outdoor kitchen.
Given the small wall space, but the large extended lanai, the customer asked us to extend the edge of the outdoor kitchen beyond the wall to allow for more components. What we did was wrap the Silver Travertine stacked stone façade around the left and backside of the outdoor kitchen to finish the look. The customer’s went with an upgraded Delirium granite for the countertop and backsplash. While this granite is an upgrade, it actually looks a lot more expensive than it is!
A great feature for those who like to keep things neat and tidy is the Blaze narrow trash bin with a 42 quart trash receptacle. It rolls out for use of ease. The 34” Blaze Professional 3-burner grill puts out more BTU’s per burner than the Traditional Series grills, comes with the rotisserie kit and a crowd favorite are the lighted knobs which glow red. There are additional features to the Professional Series and we are happy to help you compare & contrast the two. To access the natural gas lines under the grill, we installed the 32” double access door. The homeowner was not done with the cooking components just yet and added the drop-in single side burner. Side burners are a great way to complete the meal and work really well for sautéing. The drop in burners don’t take up a whole lot of room and are especially good in cases where we start to run a little short on room. The final component installed was the Blaze 4.1 CU outdoor rated refrigerator.
