I’ve been entertaining family and friends from up north for the past three months. Happy to tell ya, that my outdoor “man-cave” featuring “Da Kitchen” was a big hit!!
This summer kitchen is like a Fire Magic gallery, using just about every Fire Magic barbecue island component that you can get. This was a remodel inspired by an upcoming Labor Day Party. We are so excited for this homeowner, we can’t wait for them to unveil this amazing master piece to all of their friends. The only remnants of the original outdoor kitchen are the travertine tile backsplash and the box above the hood that the vent stack runs through.
To match the rich, more traditionally colored existing travertine tile, the bold California Gold stacked stone was selected for the facade. The stone wraps around the front, the side and along the backside that faces the pool. The granite was a higher end granite Saturnia, which has a black base with large areas of gold. There is a 10 bar overhang on the back of the right side of the kitchen that faces the pool. This is definitely the entertainer’s custom outdoor kitchen, with the finishing touch being the colored lights under the lip of the granite.
All components in this outdoor kitchen are Fire Magic unless noted otherwise.

This summer kitchen was an extension of an existing outdoor kitchen. We added a counter-height addition onto the side of a two-tier bar. We added a 10” overhang to the right side, perfect for sitting at barstools and socializing over refreshing beverages. Rather than have the customer bear the expense of replacing all of the granite, we searched from Tampa to Key Largo to find the best match possible for the countertop which turned out to be a level 1 Napoli. The customer had an idea in mind for finishing the base. They wanted to employ an artist who had worked for them in the past to do a decorative stucco finish. We coordinated with the artist to make sure that we had prepped the base of the kitchen just as she needed it.

Custom Outdoor Kitchen with a Built-in “Big Green Egg” Grill
We love this outdoor kitchen for so many reasons! This was our first Green Egg installation, though looking at the professional work and the attention to detail you would never know it. A lot of thought went into this outdoor kitchen in the design phase, from the thickness of the granite to the width of the stacked stone, figuring out the clearances and the height at which the base would need to sit took quite a bit of time.
We weren’t the only ones that put in the time to make it perfect. We met the homeowner at the granite yard twice, in search of that perfect granite which turned out to be an upgraded Wild Sea Green. Of all the granites we have installed, if we had to pick one that said Southwest Florida, this would be the one. It literally looks like it was cut from the sandy bottom of the Gulf of Mexico. It has swirls and pebbles and undulations. It was paired with the Silver Travertine stacked stone façade and the way that the colors complemented one another…again all we can say is perfection.
We used the Large Green Egg, a Bull outdoor rated refrigerator, under-mount sink with a high-arc faucet and a single access door.

As they say good things come to those who wait. This was a small addition in the Verandah that took a little time. We were in contact with this homeowner over the course of several months and worked with them adjusting our schedule around the completion date of their lanai extension. After a couple of delays to make sure everything was just so, once they gave us the green light, we were able to start the project within two days. By reserving time in the schedule for them and pulling other customers forward, when this customer met unexpected delays, meant that this customer was never more than just a few days away from a start date with us. Once we started this project, we completed it in record time…9 calendar days.
The homeowner selected the Light Travertine stacked stone. The granite countertop and backsplash were a level 1 St. Cecilia Classic. They went with a backsplash that was just shy of three foot above counter height.
The Blaze components used in the kitchen were: Blaze 25″ 3-burner Built-in Grill, 25″ double access door, 5.2 CU FT refrigerator and trim kit.

Have we mentioned that we love Corkscrew Shores?! This summer kitchen was planned prior to the customer’s closing date. They began the process early enough that we were able to start their outdoor kitchen within one week of their closing date. They opted for the Silver Travertine stacked stone. The granite countertop and backsplash were upgraded from a level one to Arabescatus Oro. The customer’s goal when selecting the granite was to find something that was anything but ordinary. There is a fine line between obnoxious and one of a kind and we think this customer pushed that limit without crossing it. The most unique part of this barbecue island is the custom stainless inlay in the backsplash.The entire outdoor kitchen came together so nicely, we believe it is definitely worthy of a model home.

This beautifully built custom outdoor kitchen was a remodel in Punta Gorda, Florida. We combined the Silver travertine and the 2 White Piracema granite for a nice mix of light & dark grey tones. We brought out the amazing color within the Silver travertine by sealing it. As we’ve mentioned in other project portfolios, everything looks a little better once you seal it. This slab of Piracema granite had some unique features, the swirls in it almost resemble a piece of marble. As you can see in the photo, it looks awesome! We used the Piracema granite for the countertop as well as the gorgeous backsplash.
As far as components are concerned, we installed a Bull Angus 30” Professional Built-in Barbecue Grill and a Liquid Propane Pullout/Access door. The clients opted to use Liquid Propane over Natural Gas in this custom outdoor kitchen build. So, we recommended the convenient LP pullout/access door to make changing out the LP tank a breeze. It’s the little things that make the biggest of differences. We also installed a sink & faucet system that’ll make washing up a snap.

Blaze 32 Inch 4-Burner Grill With Rear Burner
This custom outdoor kitchen by Elegant Outdoor Kitchens embraces contrast in a magnificent way. The Peacock Green granite really accentuates the Light Travertine stacked stone, making both the color and detail pop. A prime example of when opposites do attract, in a stylish way. In a certain light, there’s something about the Peacock Green Granite that makes it look ultra-modern. The Light Travertine was installed most of the way up the rear wall, which successfully ties it into the existing environment.
As far as components are concerned, we utilized Blaze for all their awesome professional outdoor kitchen components. Which tends to be a pretty popular choice amongst our clientele. We installed a Blaze 32” Professional 4-Burner Built-in Barbecue Grill & drawer/door combo underneath for dry storage. We also installed a single access door which is located directly underneath the sink & faucet. The client opted for a single side burner in this build, which is great for heating up sides quickly while the meat is on the grill. Having the side burner right next to the grill tends to be convenient and efficient when it comes to preparing an outdoor meal. They also wanted a narrow trash storage unit (which holds a 42 qt bin) and the 4.1 CU FT outdoor refrigerator. Refrigeration units always get plenty of use in a custom outdoor kitchen. It saves our customers from constantly running in and out for refrigerated items. This kitchen is perfect for the weekend barbecue warrior.

You could literally make anything look spectacular with this stacked stone. We ran the stone all the way up the rear wall, to the overhang. It was paired with the Dallas White granite, which we used for the counter-top. There’s just something about this combination that really hits the mark when it comes to the overall aesthetic appeal. They meld very well, complimenting each other in every way. The customer absolutely loved his new barbecue island. This custom outdoor kitchen has some amazing colors, especially when it comes to the California Gold stacked stone. The California Gold stacked stone tends to lean towards hues such as gold, brown, black and an almost rust color. If you’re looking for dark and vibrant, the California Gold is the stone for you. It was paired up with the Uba Tuba granite countertop & 15”H backsplash. These two materials go together like peas & carrots, totally complimenting each other in every way. It truly captures the essence of timeless aesthetic design & appeal. We sealed the California Gold stacked stone, which really brings out the detail and color in the material. Everything just looks better when it’s sealed.
Bull 30″ Angus 4-Burner Grill Head
The client opted for the faithful Bull Angus 30” Professional Built-in Grill. A Grill that truly lives up to its name. This 30” grill might be small but it packs a punch, like a Bull. It outputs a solid 75,000 BTU’s and is equipped with 4-Burners. It also comes with a rear infrared burner and a stainless-steel rotisserie motor. We also installed double access doors (below the grill) for easy access to the underside of the grill as well as great dry storage. We couldn’t forget about cold storage, so we installed a premium refrigerator. Finally, a single access door, sink & faucet, and a 36” vent hood to take care of the excess smoke that can build-up when grilling.
