Once again, we utilized the classic Golden White stacked stone. Pairing it with a Giallo granite. We also used a 4×4 travertine tile for a timeless backsplash. It gave the overall finished project a very traditional outdoor kitchen aesthetic. Accentuating both the stacked stone and the granite. When it looks good, it looks good. This particular combination really works well together. The client couldn’t have been happier, especially after learning how much everyone else liked it. At Elegant Outdoor Kitchens our primary focus is to make sure our clients love their barbecue island design.
We ran the backsplash up one row higher than the bottom of the hood and topped it with a linear trim tile. The 36” vent hood, Bull 30” 4-burner grill, double and single access doors and outdoor rated refrigerator are all manufactured by Bull. We also installed a custom stainless vent cover.

We used a sealed California Gold Stacked Stone for the facade finish and it turned out gorgeous. Sealing the stacked stone after installing will give it a brilliant gloss that makes a look shiny and clean, even when it’s dirty. It also gives it a certain degree of protection from the outdoor environment.

This outdoor kitchen is in Solaro in Pelican Preserve in Fort Myers. With six panels of sliders across the back of the home and a wide open view of the lanai an outdoor kitchen is a classy addition to this already amazing floorplan by WCI. The combination of the Silver Travertine stacked stone and Dallas White never let us down.The Blaze components in this kitchen are the 4-burner 32” grill with the door/drawer combo underneath, the single access door under the sink and the 5.1 CU FT fridge.

When it comes to beauty and performance, our clients always receive the highest quality of outdoor kitchen craftsmanship. Even when our schedule is bursting at the seams, and believe us when we say that we were extremely busy at that point in time. During this time, we were finishing up on two additional custom BBQ Island builds in the area. All three of the outdoor kitchen projects were in the Pulte Homes Corkscrew Shores community in Estero. Elegant Outdoor Kitchens works closely with the new housing developments to create amazing outdoor kitchen additions for new home owners.
Forgive the blurry photos, as we mentioned above, we were extremely hard pressed for time at this point. The customer opted for a Silver Travertine Stacked Stone veneer finish, we paired it with a beautiful darker colored granite that had a nice mix of black and brown tones. All the accessories were manufactured by Bull. Those components included a Bull Angus 30” Built-In Liquid Propane Gas Barbecue Grill, a grill that includes 4-Burners and a professional Rotisserie. The grill outputs a whopping 60,000 BTU’s and supports a 30” x 19” cooking surface, plenty of grilling space for those large parties or family gatherings. It also included a pullout/access storage door compartment for the LP (Liquid Propane) tank, a double access door located under the sink, and a Premium Outdoor Rated Refrigerator Unit.

This outdoor kitchen was built in Materita in Pelican Preserve by WCI Communities in Fort Myers. The home featured the summer kitchen rough-in installed by the builder. The kitchen was originally finished and then we were later called back to add the additional stacked stone backsplash.The stacked stone is the Kayla Shimla White. It is a softer looking stone with clean lines and a popular gray base. Some of the individual rock pieces can have a little bit of a green sheen lending character to the stone. This kitchen was topped with a level 2 granite that pulls a lot of the cooler color tones and coordinates well with the grays in the stone. What is nice about this kitchen is the modern look without being overly trendy.
The Bull components installed in this outdoor kitchen were the 30” Angus grill, with a double door access under the grill and single door access under the sink, and Bull’s Premium outdoor rated fridge.
Stacked Stone Sophistication
This BBQ Island design screams sophistication! Is there such a thing as too much stacked stone? We think not! As mentioned above, the customer called us back to add some additional stacked stone to the top portion of the rear wall. It really did make a huge difference in aesthetic appeal. The Kayla Shimla White stacked stone combined with the Level 2 Granite melded superbly. Giving it that soft contemporary stone look that’s sure to make the neighbors jealous. The Bull 30” Angus Barbecue Grill is the perfect size for this particular BBQ Island. Leaving plenty of space to prepare food and layout side dishes for your guests. This really turned out to be a remarkable looking custom outdoor kitchen.

Both the Silver Travertine stacked stone and New Caledonia granite have a mix of browns and grays and work well together. The 4 backsplash raises to 10 in height for a width of 40 centered behind the grill. The components in this summer kitchen are the Blaze 32 natural gas grill with double door access, the Blaze 5.2 CU FT outdoor fridge and single access door under the sink.

This custom BBQ Island and outdoor grilling area was constructed in the Somerset side of Plantation, a Pulte Homes housing development located in Fort Myers, Florida. The Plantation is a premier golf community, with 18-holes of Hurzdan-Fry championship golf, resort-style amenities, and an Activities Director who coordinates special events, club gatherings, and group outings to keep you entertained all year long. Golden White – Stacked Stone Sample
This BBQ Island was constructed with simplicity in mind. We used the popular Golden White stacked stone for the siding facade, combined with Giallo Ornamental Granite Counter-top. The two premium finishing materials melded perfectly into a gorgeous BBQ Island design. Blending perfectly with the existing environment.
The customer opted to use a professional grill head and few outdoor kitchen components they already owned. Another benefit of using Elegant Outdoor Kitchens, we custom build BBQ Islands to specification. Designing the entire outdoor kitchen around products they already owned. What we ended up installing was a 48” Trade-Wind Hood, a Bull single access drawer and Bull Premium outdoor rated Refrigerator. We were able to install a concealed louvered single access door in the back of the BBQ Island cabinet. This was due to the space restrictions we encountered. All in all, another beautiful custom BBQ Island creation from the professionals at Elegant Outdoor Kitchens of Fort Myers, Florida.

Whether it’s from concept all the way to completion, or just finishing a pre-existing framed-out project. The professionals here at Elegant Outdoor Kitchens delivered yet another beautiful custom barbecue island. This particular build has it all when it comes to functionality. We were able to integrate a Bull Outdoor 30” Angus Built In LP (Liquid Propane) Gas Grill along with a 32” Double Access Door for quick and reliable access to the hidden away propane tank inside the barbecue island cabinetry. We also included another single access door under the built-in sink, Outdoor Rated Premium Refrigeration unit, trash pullout door, bottle opener with a lid catch, and a single drop-in side burner. Truly a complete outdoor kitchen. This type of barbecue island and outdoor living area addition is sure to alleviate any back and forth trips to your indoor kitchen. When you’re cooking outside, you’re able to stay outside with this outdoor kitchen.
The existing WCI construction layout enabled us to quickly get to the best part of the project, and that’s installing the components and applying the beautiful finishing materials. The barbecue island was finished with a Light Travertine Stone, which worked well with the existing Terracotta paint shown in the gallery. They opted for a Level 2 Delirium Granite for the counter-top finish.

This particular outdoor kitchen build was unique. Since most of the surrounding rear wall and another additional wall was covered with the same beautiful stacked stone facade as the BBQ Island cabinetry, and it turned out amazing. We’re sure you can appreciate the level of customization that went into this outdoor kitchen. The plywood in the photos was eventually replaced with a brand-new window once the project was completed. This was truly a flawless integration of the kitchen. Anyone seeing it for the first time would think it was built right into the home when it was first constructed. The stacked stone was special order and gorgeous. A beautiful glass linear tile backsplash was used to accentuate the surrounding stacked stone. The backsplash was framed with bullnose tile. The backsplash accent gave it a very tasteful contrast. A level 4 granite was selected by the customer for use as the islands counter-top. The counter-top granite had striped patterning and had a remarkable color that matched the stacked stone flawlessly.
